Sliding doors, flip down table, condiment pans… Man, this hot dog cart has a lot of custom touches!

Hi Steve, my E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart is ready to go. Thanks for the instructions on building the cart, I couldn’t have done it without your DVDs and blueprint. Well worth it.
I installed the fresh water tank down in the cart to free up the tower for buns and storage. I put in sliding plastic doors and a lock to keep things secure. I also moved the sink to the side so that I could have my fold down table in the front. When down, the table has pan inserts for ice and condiments. I plan on having my Grand Opening May 1st and selling my dawgs for only $1.00 for the day. After that…. $3.00. I will be setting up by the court house in Reno, NV. Come see me if you make it to Reno!
Happy Hotdogin!

Nice job Dale! I love the signs and decals that you put on your cart. It really draws the eye and grabs attention. Your workmanship is first class too. The fold down table on the front of the cart is a great idea, especially with the steam pans for ice and condiments.
I get a big kick out of seeing the many different ways that my customers modify their E-Z Built Hot Dog Carts. I designed it from the beginning to be easy to build and easy to customize. You can equip it any way you want to serve any foods you desire.
Let’s hear it for Dale and his Lucky Dawg Hot Dog Cart in the comments!

P.S. Dale, if I get to Reno I will look you up for sure!

I’m very jealous.
Nice job!
Great looking rig!!
Great cart. Can you let me know where you got the “all beef hot dog” logo.
Dale,
Great job!!! Today is May 3rd. How did your grand opening go? Hope you made a ton of $$$$.
I am so impressed with the cart you built. I am an experienced carpenter and I don’t know that I could have done as well.
Continued success. Please keep us all updated on your progress.
Mike
Dale you must be very proud of that cart. You did a wonderful job and I love your modifications to the EZ-Built. Your signage is a real attention grabber, which in this business, you need all the attention you can get. Best of luck and remember to always serve a quality product and you will succeed!
Sure is a “one-er”; you’ll be great in Reno!
Papa
Hey Jenna,
I agree, it’s a beaut!
Doglicious,
Light and Lively – I can’t think of a better description. Thanks for commenting!
Tom and Mike,
I’m with you, those are cool logos. If you are looking for a logo designer see the last Steve’s Saturday Night Special while it’s still available. He does logo work on the side…
Joel, Ed, David, Matt, thanks for the encouragement for Dale. I love how us slingers support each other! Is this a great business or what?!
Thanks for the compliments everyone. I am very happy with my new hot dog cart. I will post more pic’s of the cart on location later on my Facebook page.
This is my fourth season working the Courthouse corner in Reno and business keeps getting better.
To Mike and Tom, I found all of my hot dog stickers and signs on E-bay and Amazon. Look around, you will find all kinds of stuff. I even found some hot dog cuff-links.
Happy Hotdoggin’ my friends!
Lucky Dawg
Now I need to buy shirts with French cuffs. Or maybe not…
Thanks Dale – you poured extra awesome sauce on that cart when you built it!!!
Mike,
You hit the nail on the head. He did a great job. That’s the beauty of the E-Z Built plans – you don’t have to be a carpenter, if you can butter bread you can build this cart!
Great advice Tony! Get ’em with flash, keep ’em with a great product. Right on brother!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll take one with brown mustard ! Wow! Cart looks GREAT!
Great looking cart! On the logo questions?
I just use the local rep from Nathans [or it could be any other brand] to provide my POP materials. I got great quality banners / logos and preprinted “Buy 6 get one free” meal cards. They also gave me a “cafe pack” that had 100 “table toppers” so I had them cut and made into postcards that I stuck a lable on the pack and dropped them off at local business as a marketing piece. So whatever brand you happen to sell, call them for customer support!
Steve, I work as a Craps dealer during the slow hot doggin’ season and I wear my hot dog cuff-links as a conversation starter about……my hot dog business. I will soon have a location in front of Harrah’s on Virginia St. Right next to the Reno Arch. You have seen it on Reno 911.
I had to re-schedule my grand opening for May 7th because of weather.
I expect to be very busy with my $1.00 hot dogs.
Way to cross promote Dale. You’re going to make a lotta money, I can tell.
I love brown mustard.
Big Tommy,
Water and pineapple juice? Why pineapple juice? Interesting…
I am now inspired!! Great job on cart.
Steve, I think it is the acidic nature of the pineapple that works to keep the casing tender; also gives it a great tan!
Love it! I just made a fold up table like that but on the side of the cart!
Awesome job! I particularly love the clear sliding doors to the storage compartment and all the decals too! I think on my next cart I’ll put the fresh water tank low and next to the waste water tank so I can have the same kind of storage on top like that!
🙂
“Brings a tear to my eye’s”
Good luck to you all!
Steve, I love the new website….very polished. I am proud to be on it and to be associated with such a terrific bunch of people. There is not a product you provide that I have not needed. Thanks again for everything you have done for us
“hot dog slingers” across the nation.
Thanks Dale, glad you like it! Thanks for the kind words also, I love what I do!
