Hi Steve,
I just landed a gig and need the help of you and your readers.
It is a Hallowe’en Haunt at a plant nursery for 18 days in October from 5-10 p. They transform the nursery into a spooky walk – thru experience and I wonder if anyone has some Hallowe’en recipe ideas.
I am going to make mummydogs, which are chunks of weiner with spices on them, wrapped up in strips of phyllo paper, baked and served with mustard and ketchup for dipping, and ‘eyeballs’ which are made with a white chinese fruit filled with yogurt, a blueberry on top for the iris and will drizzle cherry juice over so that it fills the cracks of the fruit.
It looks like a bloody eyeball, but tastes much better hopefully.
If anyone has any ideas of something quick, scary and eye catching, I would appreciate their input very much.

I make worm burgers for our church halloween festival. Slice hot dogs into long thin slice’s and drop into hot oil for about 15 seconds pull out of oil toss in bbq sauce and serve on hot dog or hamburg rolls.

Here is a cool one. “Mummy Dogs”. You’d have to prepare them ahead of time or have some way to bake, but still a pretty neat and fun idea.

Here is a good one! Hot Dog Fingers. Looks like the hotdogs are sliced across where your “knuckles” would be and add an onion slice for the finger nails with some ketchup or something to keep the “nail” in place. Really cool!

I’ve got one for you! Cat pan candy! You can use Tootsie rolls with ground up cookies like pecan sandies or chocolate chips for the sand. We used to make Date rolls and roll them in confectioners sugar. Put them in a foil pan and “scoop the poop” and cookies into a treat bag. A real gross out goodie!
