You’ve Never Seen a Hot Dog Cart Like This.
Hot Dog Profits Premium Member Mark Hintrich just sent me a video tour of his new hot dog cart. I think you’ll like this one a LOT!
Mark certainly has a one of a kind hot dog cart. I guarantee you have never seen one quite like his.
Is it an open air cart? Yes. Is it a stand in cart? Yes.
Does it have more storage than any other cart of the same size? Yessiree Bob.
Check out this great video…
I designed the E-Z Built to be super easy to customize. Once you watch my construction videos all the way through you will be able to do anything you want with the plans.
All measurements for the cart body are taken from what ever trailer frame you are starting with, so the sky is the limit!
You can make any size hot dog cart you want, even convert a trailer or camper.
Flexibility is the name of the game. I get a lot of pleasure looking at all the different mods that my slingers come up with.
I just had to share Mark’s cart with you. It is sooooo cool, and it only took him four days to build.
(He also told me that he is already making some pretty good money with it too.)
I hope you get inspired by the possibilities.
-Steve
P.S. Let’s give Mark a round of applause in the comments. He really did a great job!
On what size trailer was this built?
Hi Dale, it was built on the standard 40 x 49 trailer that we recommend in the plans. Mark modified the rear crossmember and built the body out over the fenders. Pretty slick, huh?
Nice cart Mark. I’m going to have to watch and rewatch your video. My County Health Department is making the push to have all carts be stand-in.
A very well thought out cart,a very functional cart nice job.
Very cool…
Hey Mark- the cart is awesome !! I absolutely love stand-ins. I see on the video your hand washing station looks like a cooler with a tap- do you just fill that with a bucket of cold water when you get to your location?? If so is that usually allowed??
Thanx for sharing- i love seeing others carts !! ????????????????????
Hi Val, Steve here…
All counties have their own food codes. For instance where I live all you need is a water jug with a spigot that stays open hands free (like a big iced tea jug), some hand soap, and paper towels. I still built my cart with the full hand washing sink, pump, water heater, etc.
Other places require four compartment sinks.
Check with your inspector to find out what is required where you live.
Great set up & I love your logo!
That is a really amazing cart. This cart says, PRESENTATION, PRESENTATION, PRESENTATION, all over it. It is going to be a money maker ! Good look Mark.
Mark…what a very nice Hot Dog Cart!!! My only question to you and to Mr. Steve is can you build the stand-up cart and put the 4-sinks in such a hot dog cart? I look forward to hearing from you about this matter. But a fantastic hot-dog!!! Jim
Sure, you can build in as many sinks as you need to. We show you how to do one sink in the videos, if you need more just repeat the process.
Great cart, nice to see new ideas and did out how well they work. Good luck
Hot Dog Jim
Thanx Steve- love slinging !!
You are very welcome Val!
Great design Mark.Hope it works well for you.Our bylaws say the box can’t be more than 36 inches wide to work the streets or parks and no trucks on the street or in the parks. Best of luck to a new fellow slinger.
Codes are different depending where you live. Always check with your inspector before you start building your cart. That way you can be sure your design will be to code.
I’m finishing up my cart the dimensions are 24″w X 36″L I live in an apartment and had to get it through the door. its a push cart and its manly designed to sell drinks, Water, Ice Tea, soda. since its my first cart kept it simple but if it wasn’t for your video I never would have been able to accomplish it, the next project will be a full blown food cart with all the bells and whistles, I will send photos soon, the stand in cart was awesome. Thanks a million Steve
That is so cool Angel! I DEFINITELY want to see your photos. Please send them asap!
Please furnish some insight on how the rear crossmember was altered.
Thank You.
Hi Jack,
Mark just moved it forward about 30″.
Hello this is Mark With the Good Doggy cart. . I took the rear cross bar and moved it forward around 30in and I bolted it on top of the side rails. I used a 2 x 4 laid it flat and bolted it to two thick pieces of plywood which hang down from each side rail at the rear. This allows you to drop the floor below the level of the frame. email me your phone number and I will tell you more @ mhentrich@hushmail.com. Hope this helped.
Mark The dog slinger HAVE BUNS WILL TRAVEL
This is a terrific set up. And thanks for the insight on the modification.
I am so excited cant wait to get started…what are the plus and minuses comparing a
push cart to a stand in? Thank you for your advice.
