Well Steve, it’s been a pretty good while since I contacted you for anything. I have finally finished my cart after 10 months, which was due to money and time constraints. As you asked I am uploading some finished photos of the RockinDawgs Cart, except for signage.
I have appreciated your help, plus your EZ built videos gave me the insight to create and build my first cart. Next Health inspection, then Find that location!!
Thanks, Take Care!

Great job Steve!!!
Looks like you stretched the cart body a bit to make room for the cooler (turned 90 degrees) and on onboard sink set up. Nice mods brother! Plus, you know I love anything painted in our great country’s colors.
Now get out there and start creating raving fans for RockinDawgs!
Let’s hear it for Steve H. in the comments people,

Great Job…..:)
This cart looks nice, however I do hope it passes health code. I know in Cedar Rapids, Iowa a painted surface top would never pass. It must be food grade stainless.
It all depends on your inspector. If required, it’s a very simple matter to glue a piece of sheet to the top surface. Stainless would work but so would a sheet of FRP (fiberglass reinforced paneling). FRP is the plastic paneling used in commercial kitchens. It’s also used in bathroom and kitchen remodels so it’s usually available at your local big box hardware store. Health inspectors LOVE FRP because they are all familiar with it. Thanks for your comment Bigg Daddy!
Outstanding looking cart, just add a grill and you will be uptown..,
Have a fun time dogging.
Duggs Doggs
Good!! Good!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEET! What state are you in?
Just outside Nashville, TN. Hendersonville
Congrats to you Steve H. Your cart looks Great! I swear, these carts look better and better everytime I see a new one ! ~BobD
Thanks, Due to Steve’s EZ built DVD’s, I kept refering to what he was teaching, which allowed me to think through the customizations I wanted!
that is one terrific looking cart! Congrats on building it. I hope you find a great place to set up and jam! With the name being a rockin’ name, are you going to provide your customers with music too? 🙂
As a matter of fact we have a Great Oldies Rock station here in Nashville.
Very sweet looking cart, you should have the folks flocking to your RW&B hot dog cart.
I would love to see the insides of your cart. Love how you made the sliding doors for your hot dog buns, it looks very professional.
Congratulations!
I will try and take some photos of the inside and send them to Steve hopefully he can get them forwarded to you.
Does the grill stick out like that when you’re traveling?
Yes, its bolted to the 12″ wide preparation table and it is within the width of my vehicle.
Hey! Steve, I’ve got you up there with O’Doggy’S and I think it is (DJDawg the “Tin Cart”) for eye catching. It should attract a lot of attention.
A young man stopped last week to get two combo meals just because his girl-friend just had to get something off of my cart to eat. She must have been 18-25 years old and hadn’t ever had anything off of a food cart before. It was cute. Maybe she was just talking about not having a Hot Dog off of a cart before.
VERY nice cart!! Your storage shelves and doors looks very professional.
What brand is your propane grill? I’ve been trying to decide which one would be best for my cart.
Again, congratulations on a fine build! I’m starting on my second cart now. The trailer is done and now I will start building the body. It seems a lot easier to build than the first one. Steve has done a great job providing us with plans and enthusiasm for our success!
Thanks Biscuits!
It’s an Outdoor Gourmet.
Pretty cool…it will definitely stand out in the crowd ! Give the inspector a free combo meal…lol
hey Steve would not recommend frp panel for prep counter surface. It is a fiberglass material. Not acceptable in most states.
I’ve had customers use FRP but again, check with your inspector to see what they want you to use. Thanks Marge!
Looks great. Love the modifications as well. Good luck with it. Where will you be.
Great job Steve H !!! Looks awesome. Like the extra features. Can you ballpark your final costs?
My best guess just for cart materials is around $1,600, I tallied everything I purchased to be ready to provide proper service once I go live with total out of pocket $2,100.
Now if ONLY you could tow it with that bike, THAT would be even more awesome.
GREAT JOB.
Skip
paint will pass here if its oil based
Nice job on your cart. Any idea on how many meals you can serve with your set up?
Looks very clean and streamlined. Best of Lincoln, Hamilton, and Jackson….$$
My estimate is 225, based on the capacity of my bun storage.
Love the USA!!! I thought about doing that but i am going to help Wounded Warriors so gonna make a special airbrush design. airbrush street meat go hand in hand. Bill
I try and help our vets when I can, I’m Vietnam Era Marine, I ride with the Patriot Guard riders for the veteran’s that have given the ultimate sacrifice.
