reneeRenee Crenshaw owns Renee’s Dogs in Clover, SC. In addition to being a dog slinger extraordinaire, Renee is also heavily involved in animal rescue. She often combines these two passions and does hot dog benefits to raise money for various animal rescue organizations. Very nice!

In her spare time, Renee likes to travel with her husband and when at home she just loves to mow the lawn. Can’t get enough of that. šŸ˜‰

Thanks for the shirt Renee!

E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart In Stainless Steel

Picture 11

Jerry Collins just finished his E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart in stainless steel. It’s a thing of beauty!

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the help and a great design.

Health Dept. inspection was smooth. Inspector was impressed that I had the critical points covered and I sailed right through.

Fortunately for me, my son-in-law is a sheet metal worker, so I was able go with stainless. I made sure I told the pump and water heater suppliers that I got their name from HotDogProfits.com.

Well, with the E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart plans and Carts of Cash book, you’ve done your part, it’s now time for me to go out and do mine. I would recommend you to any newbie starting out.

I’ve included some pics.

Tasty Dogs

The E-Z Built is designed to be made with wood so that just about anybody can build a hot dog cart. No special skills are required. We even show you how to cover the wooden cart body with thin sheet metal to get the metal look while keeping the ease of wooden construction.

But as you see here, the plans can also beĀ adapted to full metal construction if you have those skills.

Once again, great job Jerry!

Don’t Let ’em Get Away!

This is awesome!

Hi Steve,

My Hot Dog business Firehouse Dogs is located on a road that people drive fairly fast on and it is a county road so there are a lot of curves on it.

I had signs made that say Steamed Hot Dogs Ahead but was trying to figure out what to put on the back of them if people drove by us.

I have attached the sign and it has worked; I routinely have at least a dozen more customers a day because of it.

First Festival is a Success For Indiana Hot Dog Cart

This just in from “Get Grilled Foods” owner Tim VanDusen:
Picture 5

Hey Steve what’s new?

Well we are back. The Strawberry festival was a blast. We got in about 6 pm at the site the day before the show. Set up and took the night off to meet and greet the other vendors. Met a few real characters there.

We had the spot just to the left of the stage. The only real negative was that we had to set up on a drastic incline. new vendor at the spot so no complaints. I knew we were going to be in a less then ideal spot, but turned out that a huge crowd would gather right there when the bands started playing so it worked out. Coordinator said he would move us to a better spot next year. But I am thinking if there is better spots then what we had they must have made their house loan this weekend.

And we got to hear some really good music.

We were the only polish sausage vendors there and that rocked. I sold 25 lbs. on Sunday. We went through just a tad over 60 pounds of hot dogs up against 3 other dog vendors. You couldn’t have knocked the stupid grin off my face with a hammer. Nachos rocked.

All and all a good weekend. We had a couple of rain events but they came and went and the people came back.

We were draggin ass by Sunday night and were glad to be home. But it was well worth it. Good event coordinators real easy to work with and they had their act together. The only time we really had time to take pictures was when the crowd thinned out in the hottest part of the day but they came back soon enough.

I can’t wait to get back next year.

Have a couple of weeks before the next show so I get to go out tomorrow and see my people again. In the words of the Grateful Dead, “What a long strange trip it’s been”. I know every event will be up and down at times. but I am lovin the moment.

Tim

I just love to hear these kinds of stories from my Hot Dog Biz 101 graduates. I’m really proud of you Tim!

Generators For A Hot Dog Biz, What’s a Good One?

Picture 3Steve,

Wondering if you can put this out to your readers.

We have a 20ft hotdog trailer and i’m not sure what brand of generator to buy.

I know with everything running I will be using about 6600 watts.

I know the honda’s are the best but cost a lot does anyone use another brand that they can recommend?

Thanks
Mike’s Mountain High Wieners

Gasoline or propane? Two stroke or four stroke? Best brands?

What are your recommendations? This is a subject that should generate a lot of comments. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist ;-))

Jack’s Last Stand

Now here’s a happy guy…

Steve,

I finally made the move after 3 years of research and then purchasing your ā€œCarts of Cash.ā€ I’m 62 and will continue working full time.

The plan is to do some events and estate auctions while building the business.

I just did my first ā€œgigā€ which was an employee appreciation luncheon for 98 people.

Thanks for the push.

Jack Clark

Good luck Jack!

Creative is an understatement. You gotta see these pictures… Bradley, you’re a genius.

Steve,

I just wanted to write and thank you for the wonderful website and plans.Ā  The wealth of knowledge freely available on your site is truly amazing.Ā  I also wanted to shamelessly brag about my brand new hot dog cart that I built myself.

I’m a software developer and consultant for a huge corporation that everyone would recognize if I named it.Ā  However, 15 years ago, I Continue reading “Wholly Cow Hot Dog’s E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart”
