Big D’z Dogz Is On A Mission

Steve, I’ve been observing your website, it’s been a very valuable tool.  I wasn’t sure how to upload pictures to your blog so I’ve attached them to this email. If you can please post these so I can get feedback from the other vendors. I too have a story behind my cart, I am a Minister and I use my cart not only to make money but to help spread the word of God. The Lord gave me this vision for this cart 10 years ago, and I’ve just recently moved forward. I’ve been up and […]

Hot Dogs, The Permanent Recession, And Some Very Good News

I love writing about the hot dog business, reading excited emails from my students, and hearing success stories which I then get to share with you, dear reader. We are blessed to have this wonderful opportunity known as hot dog vending, especially now. Although enterprising individuals have been slingin’ dogs for a hundred years, in many ways the hot dog cart  business is an even better fit in our future than it was in our past. The Permanent Recession. Normal recessions come and go every 10 to 20 years. They are cyclical in nature and things always get better with time. I believe we are on our way out of this kind of recession as we speak. But this time there is a major difference. We are actually in two recessions at once, and I’m afraid one of them is permanent. […]

Hot Dog Profits Reaching Europe

This is really neat - I just got an email from Hot Dog Profits reader Steve Nott in South Wales! Hi There, I'm in the UK and just about to 'go live'. I have bought a 'New York' hot dog tricycle and my prices here will be favourable with the customers at £2 a hotdog. [...]

Haunted Houses and Hot Dog Carts – A Terrifyingly Profitable Combination.

When I was a little kid in Texas my parents took me to a haunted house which was being held at my grade school. I wasn’t scared to go because, after all, it was at my school. I went there every day. It was totally familiar. What could go wrong? Plenty as it turns out. First, it was dark. Real dark. Like, night time dark… Second, as soon as I entered the building I realized that […]

JoDogs Is Open For Business!

Hi Steve, Here are some pics of my cart.  I started building her the first of  March, the reason it took so long was I kept running out of money. I’m retired  and still have a mortgage, (kids at home, don’t retire before you pay your home off). I made a few variations on the plan.  I upgraded the faucets so I could turn them off with my elbow or forearm if the HD preferred. I also thought about crossing customer traffic to use the sinks so I switched the locations of the water heater and the hand washing sink.  That way I can serve from the right side and use the sinks without fighting a massive crowd. The health inspector said I did a great job and wished me luck, I think we will get […]

Mainstreet Louisville Is Banking On Duggs Doggs

This just in from Michael Wood… Thought you would get a kick out of this local newsletter. Yes everyone with a hotdog cart is called the “Hotdog Guy”.  The girls just line up. […]

I'm sale crazy - I can't stop myself! Last week we had a nice sale on our top three products. It was very limited and I got a lot of emails from folks who missed out. Well here's your last chance to take advantage of me - and it ends at midnight tonight! In the [...]

A Part Time Hot Dog Cart Business Is A Great Way To Get Started

Here’s an email from a really nice guy who’s starting out right, plus a special discount offer at the end of the article. Hi Steve, I have finally completed my E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart. Right now I have a spot on the riverfront in Westbrook ME. I have only been out a couple of times, made some money and enjoyed it very much. I am still working full time and hope to make the transition to hot dog guy in the spring. As for the cart, the name is Mtn. Man Hotdogs. I am an avid hiker and have been called the mtn man for a long time so the name was a no brainer. My mom painted the picture of Mt Katahdin (Maine’s highest peak) and my dad was the master mind behind the construction of the cart. I want to thank you for the video. It was easy to follow and well done. Also thanks for potentially having my own way to make money without depending on corporate America. Thanks again and have a great day! Dennis Mondville ****************************** Nice job Dennis! A lot of people ask me about running a part time hot dog cart vs full time hot dog vending. Here’s what I tell them: You don’t have to quit your day job – at least not right off the bat. You simply don’t need to work full time in order to enjoy great success in the […]

Big Momma’s Hot Dog House!

Hi Steve, I’m finished with my E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart and have been slingin’ for 3 weeks. Awesome! My husband made mine 6 feet long, so I’d have more working space. He made me do ALL of the plumbing by myself to make sure I could fix it on the spot! Hope you like it? I’ve already been booked through December 11th by one group here in San Antonio,TX. My husband got me the larger George Foreman grill for my bacon wrapped dogs and an AWESOME location on […]
