Very nice looking stand.
Hey,
This is a “Johnny’s Dog House” Kiosk, right?
beautiful thats a dream
steve , I am an electrician… there is no way this unit can run on only a 100 watt connection . you might want to look into this & change the ad.
Tom
Tom,
Yeah, that’s just one lightbulb!
I think he meant Amps…
Does that sound right?
-Steve
Let’s see at sales of $3 per dog, $38,000 comes to…..12666.66 dogs. OK – I’ll stay with my “Cash Cart.”
But boy is it a beautiful rig!
Mark,
When you play at this level, you need to do a bit more advanced math. It’s not like paying cash for a $2500 cart.
You will be financing this rig, either through a private lender, a bank, or a leasing company.
Your payments will be spread out over many years.
Your monthly payment then simply becomes one of your fixed costs. You can then calculate how much sales you need to cover your fixed costs each month.
Everything you sell beyond that, you get to keep 70 percent (the typical gross margin).
Business debt is not necessarily a bad thing. It can provide the leverage you need to produce positive cash flow, as long as you can service that debt each month.
-Steve
I’ve had apartments that weren’t that big :b
Beautiful set up.
Very apt comments on incurring that kind of debt Steve. The one thing I would add is that going into that kind of large-scale operation, you really need a bit of a pad to make sure you can survive the time it will take to build your clientele.
Great point Steve. And, like you said, its not like people dont like inexpensive lunch. Wether recession or not, so you will have the cash flow.
Very nice cart!! Very clean looking. I wish much success to whomever buys it.

Oh how I would LOVE to have that!
Response to Steve regarding financing –
Steve your analyis and business debt premise has merit.
Let’s factor in the loan percentage, say 8 or 9 percent annually, payable over a 7 year term (that would most likely be the depreciation schedule for this piece of equiptment)
Now – our $38K investment, with a 10% down, leaves a balance of $34,200. Finance costs @8 percent per annum = monthly payments of $533.05 for 84 months.
So our final costs for this purchase would total $38,000 plus our finance costs of $10,576.08 for a total investment of $48,576.08 for 7 years.
This presents us with a annual fixed cost of $6939.44.
Yes, a more manageable number of dogs….. 2313.14 per year or only 192.76 dogs a month to service your debt.
Mark,
Thanks for the detailed financial breakdown!
-Steve
That’s what my MBA is for !
Happy Thanksgiving –
STEVE,
do you do pretty good at the homedepot lowe’s?
What am I missing. Mark’s comments mentioned $38,000, but I only saw the one asking price of $25,000.
nice unit,I am retired and want to do something on the side such as this but my feet are stuck in the ICE, ???
Steve listen to mark he knows what he is doing he has an MBA for goodness sakes!!
Very good, Mark.
I agree about the building up of clientele at a certain location BEFORE moving into a big enclosed food trailer. Here in Colorado, Highlands Ranch people are used to paying more for everything, so you could probably reduce the net figures for hot dog sales down that Mark provided because the asking price per hot dog would be higher, thus fewer units sold per month. I’m just say’n….
PEACE!
