Hi Steve,
I can’t thank you enough! My wife and I got the gig in Pebble Beach which is a gated condominium community right on the beach (rich people vacation homes).
We average 2 to 4 hundred a day and they want us every day we can come out.
I work from 11 to 4 and am loving life and looking for ways to improve my business. Pebble Beach is so big that next year they want me to have 2 carts on their property!
Here are some more photos. My problem is its hard to get photos when we’re slinging and yes my wife and I work the cart together!
Please let me know what u think. Hope to hear from u soon.

Wow! That is so great Jason. I’m really glad for you and your wife.
Not very many people outside of our hot dog slinger world get to experience the kind of freedom and fun that you two are having right now. You are living the dream.
Great job!

Hey guys just to let you know the pic is a little old as I have raised my prices and made a combo price. I noticed I was making my money on just the dogs and a few drinks and chips. I will give Steve some more photos of my whole setup very soon as we keep updating thing to better out selves and make an awesome customer experience.
Thanks Jason.
That is amazing, Steve you are building a legacy of Slingers all across our great nation. All of our success is your success. I know that I owe you more than I could ever pay.
Thank you Steve !
I just show folks how. What they do with the knowledge is up to them. YOU are the hero in your own story Paul. Keep up the good work!
Great job Jason, are you in Cal.
I do have a question how do you remember the big orders so u don’t forget to charge for something….do you write big orders down or all order or what. I’m also asking cause I feel stupid for asking the customer to repeat there order.
I ask my customers to tell me one item at a time. I fix that dog, set it down and ask what the next item is. When they have finished their order I have it all sitting in front of me. Only then do I tally it up and take their money.
Hi Steve,
I unfortunately never got to get my hot dog slingin’ gig off the ground . . . (or started for that matter) but you never know – lightening might strike for me one day!
I LOVE the story on Jason Griswold in Pebble Beach . . . I live about an hour north of him and would love to come out and help him by taking pictures, etc. Plus I’d love to see them in action! 🙂 And of course grab a hot dog! 😉
Can you pass that along to him please and my contact info? Thanks so much!!!
Best, Marguerite
Looks fabulous and keep up the great work!! I do have a question….I see you are serving chili on your hot dogs…..do you make it yourselves?? I have an absolutely fantastic chili sauce…..an old family recipe I just discovered….and want to serve but am running into a lot of issues with my health dept….I currently make it at my commissary and sell it through that while I am working on my cart….any tips from you or anyone else who makes their own chili sauce? I can’t sell it at stores yet because I can’t find a place that will make it cause it has meat and that’s a whole other ball game….any thoughts would be appreciated!
Sounds like you are growing beyond the capabilities of your current business structure. Congrats! Time to find a meat processor or food manufacturer that already has the facilities and HD clearance to make it for you. Private label it and sell the heck out of it. Keep us posted!
Looks good Jason. Keep slingin and good luck!
Congrats Jason! You are the envy of many of us 🙂
Hey, on another note, I see the cash only notes on your menu board, are you finding
that that is limiting your sales at all? Just curious from someone who has yet to
jump into the biz.’

Around here a lot of people use cards only so it’s hurting me until I get the new scanner. My wife and I worked very hard to get to where we are now and are still learning everyday. I called Steve daily with questions and yes he answers the phone!!!

Congrats to Jason and his Wife on their hard work and
this great news!
Wow! I have been to Pebble Beach and it is a beautiful area. The fact that they would let you on the property to sell Hot Dogs is amazing. It surprises me that no one had thought of this before. I would not be afraid to charge a premium price and you should go all out to provide the best hotdog you can. California is very strict on what you can serve on Cart but I am sure you know that already. Best of luck to you and I will drop by your cart next time I am in the area.
Hi Jason,
Congrats on the P.B gig!
I too am a local Hot Dog Profits member, but I don’t sell food, rather Lattes, Cappuccinos and espresso beverages. Contact me thru my site and lets perhaps enhance each others business! Roger
