  2. Steve,
Everything is bigger in Texas. Use the Basset hound theme as an enlarged weiner dog. Get custom-made decals/stickers for your cart. Make a hound-in-dog cartoon logo for the stickers and tee-shirts for work and for sale to fans. Call the business simply “Woody’s Dogs” or–in Texan–“Woody’s Dawz”. Check to see that the name is not already a registered trade mark in your area, then register the name yourself. Do a web image search for trademarked “Portillos Hot Dogs” in order to see an example of a dog-themed hot dog company logo, but make your’s better with a Woody/Basset theme. You will have to invest a bit up front for the art, decals, tees, banner & umbrella (?), but it will be mostly a one-time expense. Good luck, y’all. JP

  3. All ways check with your state and local authorities to make sure the name is not already registered , have hot dogs in the title. Ie Hot dog Guy. O
something simple is the best also I highly recommend you advertise wrap your car looks great and not that expensive work on a catchy logo. Good luck.

  4. OK, let me be the first… You named the dog Woody, it only fits that the name of the business and “catch phrase” be as follows.

    “Woody’s Dog’s”
    “Nothing beats a GOOD Woody!”

  5. woody’s dog house. Get a good graphic artist to incorporate woody into the logo. First stab, it’s early. Good luck.

  6. That’s a simple one, if your just serving dogs, then name it Woody’s Dog House, if you also have sausages and such, Woody’s Dog Haus. Use the dog as part of the logo. Best of luck and keep us updated on your venture there..

  10. Hi Derek,
i Know how hard it is to come up with a good name a brand it, but still is a exciting adventure and when you see it you will run with it. Once you do make sure the domain is not taken and if it is not get it taken. I just Google Dallas famous Quotes and came up with a few.

    Lipstick Dawg
    Alamo dog
    insane Dogs
    Bigger than Life
    Braggin Dawg ( like)

    Good luck and have fun

  12. I can’t come up with anything better than has already been mentioned. I just want to note that I also have named my cart/company after my pet – a happy feline food thief named “Outlaw” – and wholeheartedly approve of the idea. For me, at least, it gives an initial “personality” to the enterprise that is just inherent in the character of the critter.

When this started he was still a small kitten; he’s since grown up into his namesake and logo design, entirely without any training from us. 🙂 The stupid cat will steal pizza off the counter – crust, sauce, and all – and lick the abandoned ice cream bowl clean. I swear he’s a dog in cat’s clothing.
