This just in from Michael Wood…
Thought you would get a kick out of this local newsletter.
Yes everyone with a hotdog cart is called the “Hotdog Guy”. The girls just line up. Wish they would spell my name right but it’s free, yes I said free advertising……….

“Good!! Good!!”
***************************
It’s kinda hard to read so here is what it says:
“First National is always looking for ways to add personality to our downtown. So we sought out Michael Woods (sp), the ‘Hot Dog Guy’ to give it a try, and he has been coming every week since. We like to think his colored umbrella and personality add a little something extra to our downtown.”
First National Bank in Louisville is finding out how a hot dog cart can greatly improve customer relations and add value to their client’s banking experience, not to mention the great PR it generates for both the bank and Duggs Doggs.
Win – win!
This is the approach to take when trying to secure a new location for your cart. Present your hot dog vending operation as an asset and you’ll never pay rent again.
Plus, “The girls just line up…” 😉
Let’s hear it for Michael in the comments section below. Great job!

Michael, it’s fantastic that you have made such a positive impact on a bank. It’s nice that someone sees your value. That should bring a smile to your face. 🙂
Congrats!
Good job HOT DOG GUY!
that is neat, I know what your saying I here all the time, hey there the hot dog man.
Butlers hot dogs
That is too cool! Nice write up! Sell em all Hot Dog Guy. What’s your set up schedule? I am only a day trip away from Louisville! I might need to check you out next time I am down that way.
Assets are not just “little Donkeys” your best asset is your desire to be successful..Way to go Mike!!
Great Job! Keep on smiling!
“The Weenie Queen of Maryland” is what they call me, or just Hot Dog Lady.

Way to go Michael! Love that free advertising. My daily location is by my local bank also. Its a great spot and the bank employees are my best and most faithful customers. And yes, they are all women!
“An asset to the bank,” ~~~”The girls just line up…” No wonder you have a smile on your face.
Great job, Michael!
I shot Michael an email yesterday notifying him that he would be featured in today’s issue of HDCN.
His response, “I’m already great looking. I might as well be famous too.”
I love it!
-Steve
Congrats Mike! Hope we’re looking forward to the same success here in WA.
Matt
Wow great success story, and thanks for the reminder Pocono Dog just lost my spot last week, and am totally down at our new spot, but your right my biggest asset is my desire to be a success again. Sometimes these blogs come at the best time .Thanks again everyone.Jeff
Nice article Michael. The PR that you’re getting is great. I’m know as the hot dog lady, so much so, that when I had my new cards made up, I added that under my name.
Jeff,
Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster ride, but YOU get to decide how high you go, not some boss. You’ll come back better than before, I’ve seen it over and over. Sell ’em all!

Hey Michael The Hot Dog Guy! From Kathryn The Hot Dog Lady! Way to go! The dogs roll out and the money rolls in, for you and the bank! Nice job! Nice to be in a normal location that gives you repeat business!! Where I am I start over every day!
I am actually in Waynesboro, Ga but my mail goes to Lousiville. Thanks for all the great comments. I nomally setup at the First National Bank on Friday and at Advance Auto Parts on Saturday. Just a side note, last week I had my highest day in 2 1/2 hours at Advance. When I am at the bank the girls send out emails to everyone in town to tell them that I am there, what a parttime job. Remember this “Today is the first day of the rest of your life”. Make it fun!!

My wife would like to know just what exactly are the girls are inline for!!! Way to go, Michael S. Wood, I hope to be in business very shortly.
Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping bees from swarming around the condiments. I do a farmers market where the bees are terrible. I tried opening a can of pop to draw them away from the table. It didn’t work. I keep my condiments in a 5 compartment condiment dispenser with a lid.
Thanks
Way to go.Great Ideas. Is that a bun steamer on that cart?Keep it up.
Wow Very inspiring!! I am a new recipient of Steve’s book and plans and very excited to get going and at the same time shaking in my boots. Thank you all for your honesty and encouragement in this business!! Just cant get those dogs off my mind!!!

You will learn so much from steve and from his books, not to speak about his website. I even have my wife cutting the grass now! (Inside joke for Steve)
That’s my grill, I give my doggs a hot bath in my direct heat pans, then I grill them real quick, then I keep them in my steam pans till they are sold. You have to take care that you don’t over cook the doggs and don’t cook too much at one time. People will remember what is bad way longer than they will remember what was good!!
