  1. Nice…..everyone always has gloves! Great idea! I usually keep them in the tray and feed them to the dogs when I get home…now the are getting fat! This may be may solution! 🙂

  2. Interesting dea. However, if I don’t eat them myself, I’ve found it simpler to just give away my remaining cooked hot dogs rather than try to figure out a way to transport them back to the commissary, such as in another container (or in the fingers of some disposable gloves). And, of course, if there are any unopened packages at the end of my day that are still in my iced cooler, then they just stay there until I can get them put back into the temperature-controlled fridge at the commissary. I don’t think my jumbo dogs would fit into the fingers anyways.

  3. I hope that was a clean glove matey !! Arrr har har har !!
We give away the leftovers when we get to the dock or dispose of them.
Part of the cost. We do try to limit the loss by selling out late in the day.

  4. I wouldn’t waste the time on a few dogs. I give them to folks standing around and use it as advertising. It lets people know you sell good quality and are part of the community.

  5. Hi steve. I too try to limit amount I have steaming at end of day. Sometimes I can resell them next day but if not I too give them away if possible especially if there is a work crew nearby. Tupperware works for me for leftovers.

  6. I don’t try to sell leftover dogs the next day, they invariably lose flavor and quality, I’m like you, I try to control what remains. I’ve given them to homeless guys, handed them out to kids, but mostly they just go to the chickens. the dog, bless her heart, would come out and meet me when I got home, looking for a leftover. Now that she is gone I think I will cultivate the neighbor’s dog. But I like your glove idea.

  7. I us zip lock bags and they end up in a special recipe, like a soup, stew, or a hot dog Mac & Cheese.
