Well Steve, I’m still in a daze about how fast I sold my first E-Z Built cart on your website! It’s been one heck of a ride! Thank you so much for being there.

I want to thank all of my fellow dogslingers out there, for all of their moral support and uplifting comments. It’s great to have a place like www.hotdogprofits.com  to go to and get everything you need to get into this business. I really loved my first cart, and I know I’m going to LOVE MY BIG E-Z CART (as Steve calls it). So here it is! 99% finished, it’s going to be a back saver, not having to lift those heavy pop coolers and refrigerator every 5 or 6 hours and move on to the next spot (my weekends were very busy). Thanks again to everyone, Enjoy!

I think this is one of the top two or three innovations on the basic E-Z Built hot dog cart plans (you can get the online version here) that I have had the pleasure of seeing. The floorless concept is pure genius. It lets you work at the right height while still being inside the unit.

I bet it wouldn’t take much more work to enclose the top half of the unit with 2×2 framing and plexiglass, or possibly roll up curtains to get you out of the weather, at least from the shins up.

Great job Lee! It was my pleasure to help you sell your first cart. Now go make a killing with your “Big E-Z”!

If you dig this as much as I do, leave a comment and hit the Share button for Lee. Thanks!

-Steve

  1. Awesome Cart!!
What are the carts dimensions?…Seems wide. Was there not room to put the sinks inside?
Also looks to me like a cover could be built over the top.

  2. Wow, that is something else. Lee, you did an amazing job on your cart. Is that last picture a solar panel or a menu?
    Well done!

  3. I’m speechless! Absolutely stunning! Just a fabulous design…everything a dogger could want or need right at their fingertips. Truly a great job!

  4. Great looking cart. What size trailer did you use for it? I wish you good luck in your new adventure.

  5. This is way too cool. It looks like you did a lot of pre-planning and that is an awesome grill and fridge. Great job Lee!!!!!!

  6. Wow that is very nice an well thought out! Good job! My opening day is wed. I’m nervous an excited at the same time. Wish me luck!

  7. WOW! I AM IN AWE OF THIS CART!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! IS IT A 4X8 TRAILER? I LOVE THE SOLAR PANEL! I AM SO TIRED OF LIFTING THE COOLERS!! PURE GENIOUS! HOW MUCH DID IT COST? STEVE, YOU GOTTA BE PROUD IF THIS ONE!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU IN SELLING THE CART OR SLINGING THE DOGS!

  8. WOW !!! When you first showed the pictures, you never mentioned that it would be floor-less, what a completely unique idea, but isn’t there an axle you have to step over? I would sure like to have seen a picture of that.

Congratulations on a truly wonderful idea and I/we all wish you as much success on this cart as you had on your first one. Keep up the good work and maybe you’ll partner with Steve some day and tell/show us how you did all of this.

I really like the ‘hidden’ refer, and is that a solar panel I spotted there?

    Skip

  9. WOW!!! I like this cart. It’s big and has it all. Love the floorless design. Massive cook space allows for major event success. Congratulations on this great design. 🙂

  10. What a great cart. Congrats!!
I have a quest. about the fridge. Is it a commercial grade? If it is, where did you buy that and if you don’t mind telling me, how much did it cost, and how do you use it without electricity?
Could you please send you answer soon as possible, because my health department req,. comm. grade fridge for the dogs and we want to start building the cart this weekend.
    Thank you so much.

  11. I still think it look like it’s kind low to stand – in and serve it up???????? looks cool thou – how tall are you?????our steamers are at chest level – you know what I mean….Rena

  12. That is certainly thinking out of the box. Steve, those plans MUST be awfully detailed for someone to come up with this. I know your proud of him. This is truly a great cart!!

  13. Fantastic cart impressive layout. I am also interested in the fridge i need to upgrade also. Please let us know.

  14. Great cart. I envision bottom boards to enclose the bottom and plexiglass around the top sides for colder weather in the northern states. NO axel??? if not, where did you find the wheel set up?

  15. I didn’t notice the faucet for your steam table until I looked at the pictures again… pure genius!
I would love to do that type of design one day.

  16. Thanks everyone for the great comments so far, let me say first of all that without Steve’s EZ Cart plans I would not have been able to do this build. All and I mean all the plumbing and building techniques are in Steve’s plans the only difference is in what you want to end up with. There is no center axle, these are Torsion Stub axles, hence nothing to trip over. The refrigerator is a Dometic Brand found on the Internet. Yes, thats a solar panel and the trailer is homemade by me. It’s 9 foot long and DOT 102″ wide.
This past weekend I maidened it at a Soccer Tournament and she passed with flying colors.
    I’m lovin’it.

  17. J.D., Thanks for the link; I’ve been searching for mechanical freezer to eventually replace my coolers. Lee, your right, using Steves plans as I guide you can build almost any style cart. Mr. Tiki.

  18. That is a sweet cart! That is the Hummer of E-Z Builts. I completely agree how adapatable the E-Z Built plans are. Easy to use and the vids really give you a good visual for the build. Nice job Lee.

  19. Roll on hot dogger ……..that is out of this world!!!!!!! creative thinking makes $$$$$$.

  20. What a great looking and useful cart. I wish somebody could come up with a video on how to build one of these for those of us who need help with customizing a cart. Again thanks to Steve for helping Americans dig in to their ingenuity.

  21. Had the opportunity to meet Lee a few weeks ago. I was excited and couldn’t wait to see the photos he said he sent you. I wish I could’ve seen this in person but we were working two seperate locations his first weekend out. Lee, just as you described it to me…AWESOME!! FYI, independant axles on each side of the trailer. This eliminates the through axle, hence an open floor. I believe he said it was 7×10 or 12. Thanks Lee! I’ll contact you soon.

  22. Here is a link for the axles. https://www.southwestwheel.com/p-2317-1400-lb-torsion-half-axles-with-4-4-bolt-circle-hubs.aspx I have used these guys in the past on other simular projects and their quality is #1.
It doesnt show one in the pictures but I believe I would include a removable bit of frame for towing purposes or there will be an enormous amount of flexing and instability. When you get where you are going, remove and stow it like a removable tongue

  23. Great Cart! Klinger is correct “build it they will come” and if u build it better they will come back.

  24. Great cart, Not sure what you meant by “floor less” it looks like it has a “floor” to me. Maybe you meant “flaw Less.” Looks really good.

  25. Very impressive Lee! An inspiration demonstrating just how far we can go with this business!
