Jack’s Last Stand

Picture 1

Now here’s a happy guy…

Steve,

I finally made the move after 3 years of research and then purchasing your “Carts of Cash.” I’m 62 and will continue working full time.

The plan is to do some events and estate auctions while building the business.

I just did my first “gig” which was an employee appreciation luncheon for 98 people.

Thanks for the push.

Jack Clark

Good luck Jack!

  1. Way to go Jack! We are in our 60’s also and put all our “Dogs in one Cart” Go for it, it’s fun and we’ve made pretty good money our 1st 7 weeks!Good luck, keep smiling and sell those dogs! OH, keep it simple!!!!!!!

  2. Jacko, The Jack Meister, Jack-O-Rama – Makin’ Hot Dogs! Rock on Dude…Slingin’ Weenie’s is challenging yet rewarding work. Go ahead…go all in. You’ll never regret it. It’s truly one of those, “I wish I would have down this 20 years ago” kinda gigs. Behatzlacha!

  3. I started wearing the hat two years ago. The amount of money it has generated has been great. We set up this weekend and within 10 min people were asking for the hat. Buy a couple of extra ones and have the name of the stand put on them. Display them at events and you will be suprised at the people willing to pay for them.

  9. Looking good Jack. I’m just starting out, too. I’m 64 so I guess you are just a kid! lol I bet you’ll do great because you look like the type of guy that has fun and customers appreciate that. Best of luck.

  11. Hello yall. I started thinking about this hotdog cart buissness not to long ago but the more i think about it the more i REALLY want to do it. Sounds like yall have a good time and make a pretty good living at it too. I hope to be joining you in the not so distant future. (anyone know how tough Virginia is on this buissnes?) But for now… i really enjoy reading your posts and watching you videos. Thank You and keep it up.

  12. How exciting – great job and good luck building the business. Looks like you are on the right track

  13. Jack, best of luck. I am right behind you. I am still doing research to see if I really can make money selling dogs. You seem to give me some inspiration as does everyone else on this site. At 55 I was layed off from my construction job over 2 years ago and can’t find work of any sort. So I think I might try it. Best of luck to you.

  14. Well done on taking action on your plan.I wish you all the luck in the world.
Loving all the positive posts from you guys using this site .
Watching from the UK with envy.

  15. Good Luck Jack. I’m 68 and just started about a month ago. I’m hearing about everyone doing these great special events. How do you find these gigs?

  16. Thanks everyone. You guys seem like family to me. Steve is providing a great service. And yes I’m having fun and making a few buck$ while I’m at it.
    To answer a few questions:
I got my hats from “Windy City Novelties” for $5 each and am selling them for $10. (See Steve, old dogs can learn new tricks if we read your Carts of Cash)
Virginia is a business friendly state. That is where I am located. Contact me at jackslaststand@hotmail.com and we can talk.
As far as finding events check out your chamber of commerce event calendar, scope out ball fields, find locations where traffic is heavy and let people know about your plans and you will get tips galore.
And at risk of sounding like I’m on Steve’s payroll, get the “Carts of Cash” book and CD’s.
    Welcome to the family,
    Jack

Best of luck to you !!!

  22. Hi Ellen. We get our events because my husband solicits car dealers & businesses, & if you look on your citys website, they usually have a vendor area where you can sign up for special city events (but be prepared to pay a rental fee for your spot)
