Ahoy me Slingers! Spring is here and summer is right around the corner. Millions of Americans will be heading for the rivers, lakes, and oceans for some fun in the sun.
All that swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, and just plain horsing around is enough to make a person seriously hungry. But restaurants are pretty much non-existent on the water, which means that there is a need going unfilled…
Hot Dog Boats to the rescue!
If you live near the water, you might consider starting your own hot dog boat. Used pontoon boats are relatively inexpensive and they make a great platform for a floating restaurant.
Here are some links to hot dog boat articles that we have run in the past. Check them out…

We are looking forward to the coming season & being back on the river.

I be doin a complete overhaul on the supply skiff. Send ye a pic when I’m done.

ARRRR, ARR ARRR! Looks like first matey Jim might have some competition? Or did he retire? I know there’s lots of water for plenty of boating, especially here in the nor’east. Maybe Jim could offer up a menu of ideas for this one!
From my own experience, stay away from small lakes unless there’s a good busy port to pull into.
Otherwise pick a real popular river.
Aye Dixie.
Ye need a lot of traffic just like the land lovers.
Near a busy launch ramp, attraction or local camp ground .
Traffic = customers. And sell the best dogs in the world !! Arrrrrr !!
I haven’t moved yet, maybe soon, but I will be back for the summer.
I’m not worried bout competition, we need more hot dog boats.
In many areas it’s an untapped resource. Ye gota eat !!!
Arrrr har har har !!

When I first decided to enter the hot dog business doing it on a pontoon was exactly what I had in mind. What better way to enjoy what your are doing. Lots of waterways to go around.
Hello everyone,
Couple of my friends an I are jetski-ers. We love the river the ocean the lakes. Couple years ago we were on the water all weekend long and by the end of the day we were starving. The dockside restaurants are not exactly common so I decided we would start the hotdog business on the water. We did research got a company name a company account but sadly we aren’t fortunate enough to have the money to get started so it went onto the back burner while I was still looking for boats and ideas. Finally this season we found some fairly priced capable pontoons. I am praying to get this started this season and was hoping you guys would provide us with help, ideas warnings to get started. One of my friends already said it’s going to be too expensive to start and too much work required so he pulled out. Any help would be much appreciated thank you for your time.
Hi Bart, a great resource for you would be to sign up for a membership at HotDogProfitsPremium.com. You’ll learn everything you need to know to start, run, and grow your hot dog biz. You’ll even get plans and videos to build your own cart which would be perfect to mount on a pontoon boat. Knowledge is power (and it saves you money too). See you in the member’s area!
