Here is an oldie but a goodie! I interviewed Steve Coronado many years ago but his story is still so inspiring and a testimony to what is possible in the hot dog cart business.
I hope you enjoy the show!

Steve Coronado started his hot dog cart business in Roswell, New Mexico – the site of what the military says was a high altitude surveillance balloon accident in 1947. These days Roswell is famous because many UFO proponents maintain that alien spacecraft debris and bodies were recovered, and that the military then engaged in a cover-up.
In any case, Roswell plays host to a very successful annual UFO festival and Steve sold a ton of hot dogs there this year. Here is the email he sent me.

Steve,
Here are a few pics, me and the Aliens at the 62nd Annual UFO festival. It is alot of work, but events are very lucrative. Being new in this business, I did very well, I handled my self as a professional and kept my cool. Had I not read your course “Carts of Cash”, I probably wouldn’t have made it.
Gross was $920 in 2 days Fri. and Sat. Expenses were $180.00 So $740.00 for me, and I get to set up every sat. and sun. at this same spot, the International UFO Museum, at no charge, just a convenience to all the visitors.
Life is GOOOOOD!!!!

To the Steves:
Great interview guys, Way to go for it.
Steve, I love the fact that you saw your friends try this business and failed, and you still had the guts to go for it. It just proves that those who are willing to do the research, and not take the shortcuts will find their way on the road to wealth. Great Job!
Congrats to “Fat Franks”…I agree Steve’s system is great. I purchased “Carts Of Cash” a couple of months ago. Thank God! for Steve, Hot Dog Cart News and people like you..keeps us motivated.
Blessings to All!!
great job Steve!
its good to here you did so well at the car show. I just got back from doing a large motorcycle event but didn’t do as well as I thought I would the person that was in charge of the vendors had 6 of us vendors that served hot dogs of some sort. but I will say my cart made enough to cover my cost. they ask me to come back next year but I told them I will need to see a list of the food vendors before I shuck out that kinda cash again . but I will say that most of my customers said that they came to me because I looked very professional and organized.

BUTLER’S HOT DOGS
Mike I had a the same thing happen to me on the 4th of July, at least 3 other vendors selling dogs. One vendor even tried to undercut everyone by lowering their price to $2 when the rest were selling at $3, At the end of the day I out sold all of them. My booth looked sharp and I ran a enter to win contest for a prize valued at $500. The prize was local business who contributed discounts on their service or products that I got for FREE. I also played the role of Hawker my wife thought I was crazy yelling “Hot Dogs & Sausage” “Get them while their HOT!” everyone else just sat their staring at me…I don’t care,,,I was their to SELL and have FUN! Not to sit on my @$$ and complain like everyone else did. If you want it bad you have to go for it….
This Guy is COOL!!!!
Steve,
Awesome job, way to land a sweet location. I hope to be able to have similar success when I get my cart off the ground. By the way, what kind of hot dog do aliens eat? Keep up the great job Steve and live the dream!

That was a great interview! Those of us just in the infancy stage (like me) really get an affirmation hearing that the hard work is going to pay off! Apparently even extra-terrestrials like a good all beef hot dog! I ordered Steve’s EZ Built cart plans and they are in the mail. I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve.
