My state (Colorado) does not require a food safety training certificate or class attendance, although I fear that too many people working in the commercial kitchens of the restaurants and other places should be required to attend at least a foodhandler’s class, which is only a few hours long and very inexpensive. I just finished the class myself two weeks ago, it was 3.5 hours long and only $10, given by my city’s Health Dept. (Denver). Scary to hear about the horror stories from local eateries, and the pictures…yikes!
