Butler’s Hot Dogs’ Cool ’69 Supply Truck

hot dog truck

Hi Steve,

Its been awhile since I have sent you any thing.

Here are a couple pictures I thought you might enjoy.

One is my 1969 supply truck that I refinished this last winter. WOW it sure is nicer than dragging supply’s in & out of my pickup truck. Also what a great conversation piece. When I am set up at the local car show it draws in the customers.

I found the old truck setting out in the weeds in a small town not far from here. My wife about crapped when I pulled in the driveway!

My dad and I went to work on it in January & pulled it out of my garage the end March just in time for hot dog season.

Oh yea my wife loves it now.

The other pic, is just me set up at my Friday location the local court house lawn from 11am to 2pm.

Well I gotta go and keep on slinging dogs. Getting busier all the time!

  1. WOW! That truck is sharp! The luxury of havinag all at your fingertips and covered! i am truly jealous. Looks great, to your continued success!

  2. thats awesome by the way i thought i was the only one uo at this hour does anyone have the contact number fo setting up at lowes or home depot

  3. Love the truck Mike, and the color schemes also. was hoping to see more pics especially the inside. How many hours do you say was put into this, and how much did this all cost. I understand the frustration it is to setup and breakdown everyday and then have to drag all that stuff in the back of your truck. Well I wish you much luck with the new truck.

  4. Love the truck. I’m assuming you have much quicker set up time on site. Do you go to one spot and park or do you treat it like the roving ice cream trucks?

    Very very nice!

  5. That is sweet Mike. Congrats amd continued success. I like the logo a lot, cool dog dude! That old truck has great new life given to it. Real nice job you and your dad did. 🙂

  6. That is so cool. Great looking truck. By the way where can I get a tent made like that with my business name on it? Again great job and good luck!!

  7. Nice set up Mike!! Doesn’t hurt to have all that advertising. It’s nice to have everything in order each time you set up. Best of Success!

  8. Mike,
Nice set-up. Truck looks great. Congrats on your second season.
Haven’t set my rig up yet, I’m in the Health Dept., licensing stage.
Where did you get the lettering done on the canopy? Thanks,

  11. To All
I bought the canopy from EZ-up canopy.com out of cal. The lettering I did my self with vinyl letters. but I just got an add last week from EZ-up canopy and they will letter it for you I assume they would Ink it on which would be a lot better than using vinyl. Thanks for all the comments on the old truck we worked our buns off on it when I get more pic I will send them in. Steve thanks for posting the pictures

  12. Love it!! great job Mike & Pops…wishing you many blessings……

@CECIL I ‘m in Florida and they told me that Lowes does not approve of us vendors on their premises. Home Depot yes and they told me I have to talk to the General Manager of each individual store. Please let me know if you hear different.

  13. I too have been shoping for a truck. A couple japanese auto makers have what they call mini trucks 2-3 cylinders, that get great mileage and I could wrap wwith advertisments and logos.
    What make is your truck??

  14. Hey everybody! I’m a new dogger with a sign company. We can paint or stick, (we also do monograms), anything you want. Hope I’m not doing anything wrong by letting you all know.
