You people are serious about your contests!!!
We set a new record for the number of comments in a single post – 148! Don’t you have anything better to do?
Just kidding. I love it! You guys are the best. And when I say guys , I mean it in a non-gender specific sense. Because fortunately, half of you aren’t.
Guys, that is.
Anyhoo, I had a really hard time picking a winner so I did what I always do when faced with a very difficult decision.
I bent the rules.
I picked three. You each win a pair of chip clips, courtesy of HotDogProfits.com.
Third place goes to the workhorse. Funny or not, you posted more comments than anyone else (yes, I got a laugh out of them). Jim – you’re a winner!
Second place goes to the most creative online name. Dog and Coney Show (that cracked me up – very creative) – you’re a winner.
And first place goes to the comment that made me giggle for most of yesterday evening, “Honey do you think this house makes my bun look bigger?” Truly funny stuff Rick, aka The Dogfather.
You’re each getting a pair of chip clips. Congratulations.
I’ll send each of the three wieners an email today asking for your shipping address.
This was awesome!

I was wondering how you were only going to pick one winner. hey I have a question for you or fellow doggers. How do you carry enough buns for the day without smashing them? I carry mine in totes but have not figured out how to keep from smashing the ones on the bottom
Mike

Great contest – keep em coming!
steve…how much dicout are you going to give to us who made comments?
You see I can’t even spell “discount”, ha
Lynn,
What a perfect example of great salesmanship. Seriously, everyone listen up. This is valuable.
She didn’t say, “Will you give us a discount?”
She said, “How much of a discount are you going to give us?”
BIG difference. Putting it that way forces the person’s mind to act as though the decision has already been made. It’s a fact of psychology.
So, never ask a customer, “Do you want a soda with that hot dog?”
Always ask,”What kind of soda do you want with that hot dog?”
You’ll see a big increase in soda sales if you use this approach.
But it doesn’t work every time. Sorry Lynn 😉

I’d say the rules got bent for sure!
Guys:(as Steve says in a non-gender specific sense):
Almost ready to start selling hd’s.
Need some info, please. In the hot weather, how do you keep the condiments i.e. mustard, ketchup, relish & onions “cool” and at a safe temperature? I’m guessing that you cannot re-use those products left over after being out for 4 hours.
Also, do you keep sauer kraut “warm” or “cool”?
Thanks for any info to help a new comer!
Kieran
Hot Dog!
Hotdog asks,
“Hey does this house make my bun look fat?”
Reply,
“No, your fat makes your bun look fat.”
Never say a similar variation to your wife.
Hey Steve you asked if we don’t have anything better to do ?. Well by other people standard NO we don’t have real jobs. LOL but I just finished my first 7 day fair and it rained 3 days and I still made more than Office Manager that lives next door. Plus I loved every day of it. I also have 2 car and truck show’s this weekend. I’m not doing great but not bad for a first year country boy.

There is a great condiment tray at Bed Bath and Beyond saw it here on the blog, you can put Ice in the bottom of it to keep all your condiments cool. I use it daily but I don’t put ice in it I use everything up in 3 hours I do reuse some condiments like pickles and peppers that don’t need refrigeration.
cheers
I use a Playmate Cooler with a few inches of ice in the bottom. Be sure the cooler you use has an attached lid. Keep it closed when not being used keeps flies out too. Mustard and peppers don’t require refridgeration.
Kraut is hot
