Yesterday was Memorial Day. I could have worked but I decided not to.
Instead of writing a newsletter article for you I decided to spend the day with family and friends, enjoying the freedom that so many gave their lives for. I hope you don’t mind.
Thank you to all who have served this great country of ours. God Bless the USA!

Proud of you Steve for taking the time off to be with your family and for the thoughts for our country and the sacrifices our service men and women have made along with their families.
I’m sure no one minds. We know how hard you work. We should all remember that it not about BBQ, Hot Dogs and 3 day weekend. Its about all who fought to give us the freedom that we enjoy so much
Amen Stevo! They gave their ALL for ALL of us and our Freedom! Thanks to all that died for the U.S. constitution to live!! I switched gears this weekend and went to work at big time vendors booth at our local Boatnik event(Grants Pass) I learned SOOO much in 4 days, and YES folks, there is real GOLD in slinging! Sell’em all!
Respect…this should be one of the first things we teach our young folks.Standing up for what we believe is what keeps our head above the swamp. Thanks for sharing.
God Bless America!!!

That picture reminds me of New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery where my father is buried. He was a World War 2 Veteran and a Korean War Veteran.

Hello Steve,
Just want to thank you for all your wonderful articles! I’ve been hot dog carting for over twenty years and have seen many changes with the business as with anything. I never wanted to make millions but I have made enough now to just work a few days a week. And that is because my family and close friends mean the world to me and I need to spend as much time as I can with them!!!!
Great to hear you spent time with your family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bless you my friend,
Laurie
Right thing to do. Remembering all who gave the ultimate.
I did the same. Bless you.
God bless America…AGAIN!
Hi Steve,
Good call. I’m in New Zealand and our memorial day equivalent is Anzac Day (25 April) and we just celebrated the 100th year anniversary (remembering the fateful campaign on the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey in WW1). 2000 Kiwis (NZ’ers) and 8000 Diggers (Australians) died there protecting our freedom. We all go to a dawn service (6.30am) on the day to give thanks. Lest we forget.
HI STEVE YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. MONEY “ISN’T” EVERYTHING “GOD BLESS YOU,YOUR FAMILYS & FRIENDS OLLIEPOPS QUINCY,ILL
I took the day off too, may we never forget the brave who gave all so that we can enjoy… America…..
I took the weekend off, and went to the National Cemetery at the Army Presidio, in San Francisco. It was awe inspiring.
