$500 Day Selling Hot Dogs

$500 Day Selling Hot Dogs

.

Hey Slingers, just a quick inspirational message today… YOU CAN DO THIS TOO!

Ed F. went through my HotDogProfitsPremium.com training program and as a result his hot dog vending business just took off. He sent me an email the other day that really got me excited.

He writes…

Steve- my first $500 day! Could have made more if I did not run out of buns. Over 200 hot dogs sold in a 3 hour shift. Local town “Founders day”, lines never stopped.  Great day. Wanted to share.

Thanks, Ed

One of the most rewarding aspects of training new hot dog vendors is the thrill of hearing their success stories. I love helping newbies get their start as well as helping established hot doggers double or triple their sales.

Way to go Ed! I’m really proud of you!!!

Let’s hear it for Ed in the comments.

P.S. If you are just starting out you should not expect this to happen to you on your first day. Selling hot dogs is not a get rich quick thing. It’s a LOT of fun but it also takes a strong work ethic and dedication. If you have those qualities then we can help you work up to your own $500 days just like Ed did.

  1. Way to go, Ed! Great start! And as you said, Steve, it doesn’t happen to everyone that way. But a strong work ethic and good customer relations are key. I’ve been fortunate enough to have an occasional $300 day and in my spot that’s pretty darned good!

  2. I am sure it also depends on your location, more than anything. That seems to be tha hard part – finding the right location and securing the spot.

    1. It’s not that hard actually if you use the approach I teach. Many of my students have secured premium locations without paying any rent.

  3. i am not a pro yet,but my place is in a industrial park with road traffic.doing about 200.00 every day,5 days a week.would be ex to hit 500.00

    1. Hey Joe. I hear you loud and clear. I am also in an Industrial Park and I find we can’t reach our potential there. You need to search for another spot. You could be doing those $500.00 days if you have good walking traffic and easy accessibility and out in the public areas with lots of gov. buildings or offices around. They love to go for a walk on their breaks because they have to sit all day and it is much nicer walking outside to get loosened up. lol. I know how tired you would be after working all day. Try going on satelite in Maps for the area you want to be and just mosey through every street until find a possible opening. Get the Property Managers name and phone and you may get lucky. Much easier and faster than walking for miles. lol. Good luck.

  4. Great job Ed. I found a great location this summer. I had my hot dog cart in front of alocal pool. I was making anywhere from $400-$900 a day. Every time Steve sends an email out i always read it because I know he is the real Hot dog king. Lol

    1. Hi Steve.
Still searching for a good spot. The place my trailer is at has just been sold. Must vacate by Oct. 31. So now I am searching for a place for both the food trailer and the Hot Dog Cart.I just had a thought. Have any of your people ever mentioned getting into a University or College Campus? A friend just mentioned it tonight but I thought I would run it by you first and see what you thought about that idea. Talk soon.

  5. what a go Ed!!!
I too just started back in May this year; first few weeks was doing $400-$500 a day (new dude on the corner with a cart, right? lol) The great thing, have built a super repeat business, lots of regular customers, and now averaging $300-$400 every day! that’s setting up and selling 11am-2pm. A daily routine makes it easy, and the right location is a must!!!

  6. Fantastic Ed. I just started slinging Wed. and was flinging stuff everywhere with 90 dollars in sales. Would’ve needed EMS with five hundred. I wish I could’ve seen you live in action.
