Another success story in the making, Rick and Diane are open for business with their E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart…

Hi Steve,

Just wanted to let you know that it has been very exciting to build this hotdog cart and stretch my entrepreneur brain. I worked with the local SBDC here in Loveland Colorado and did all the work for a business plan.

So I got the hot dawg slinging business underway at a local brewhouse called Grimm Brothers Tap Room Friday and Saturday. It was a soft start which was good for me. We sold 200 hot dawgs for the weekend. Even had a few come back just to eat another one, good feeling.

They said they would like for me to be their every weekend so i feel pretty loyal to them for helping me get a start, and nothing goes better than a great beer and a Chicago hot dawg.

Steve here are some pics from opening day use the ones you want. I named the business The Daily Dawg and we are the Hot Dawg Slingers

Steve, thank you so much for all you do and the investment was so well worth it!

Excited to keep moving forward,

Rick & Diane Janecka

Rick sent me a bunch of pics but I put my favorite at the beginning of this article. That smile is why we do what we do.

Can I get a witness?

Good luck Rick and Diane – you’re off to a great start and your E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart came out super nice!

Sell ‘em all, slinger!

Great looking cart. Looks like you had some perfect weather for your first day in business. I like the business name too… subliminally implies repeat business!

The cart and location look great – BUT are those canned tomatoes on you Chi Dog – shame on you!!!! hahahaha – best of luck in the wiener game! Your friends – Susan and Rena!

Canned tomatoes, never considered that. Our county does not allow sliced tomatoes. Yet, my wife worries about the led content of can tomatoes (Dr. Oz mentioned it). Mr. Tiki

Congratulations, nothing like beer and dawgs!!!!

Yes they were canned tomatoes, but quite tasty! We are now serving fresh tomatoes. :) Couldn’t find any with any flavor during our kickoff.

Diane, That’s what it’s all about being “quite tasty”. Our signature dog is called the Hawaiian Dog which includes our Kava sauce (think pineapple and jalepanos). We’ve had quite the following for that doggy. Mr. Tiki

WOW! Wish my hubby would get off his duff and do the hot dawg thing…but I’m excited for you guys. Way to go! Am seriously thinking of doing this all by myself if he prefers sitting and watching the boob tube. Those pics are worth the effort, aren’t they? This biz would even help others in my family. Well, off to try to squeeze in more hours in my day! One of these times, I’ll be emailing Steve pics of me and the grandkids and/or my other family members doing this!
Best of wishes for continued success!

Allyson
