Greetings from Oregon. Here is the cart that I built this year.
I bought your “E-Z Built Hot Dog Cart” package and the video and plans were easy to follow. I added a trickle charger for the battery. The grill mount is on hinges and enables the grill to ride above the cart while not in use. I even found a stainless steel sink.
I have an agreement with the school district in my city to provide concessions for the little league. I am keeping the menu simple. Dog and sausage, chili, and kraut, cheese, onions, relish, and mustard.
I have been unemployed since December. Over these few months, I bought supplies as needed for each part of the project. The cart is free of debt.
Self employment is the greatest gift I could have given to myself. I made my first “Hot Dog” dollar last night.

WAY TO GO! I agree with you, Steve! I think in the last year unemployment has led to more slingers than ever! Great job, Angie. Beautiful cart and design. Great money management and good catch on the concession.
What a GREAT idea for moving the grill out of the way for traveling. I will assume that you have a way to lock it down while you are on the road, I’ll have to look closer. I have seen these grills at both Lowe’s and Walmart, under $100, and I was thinking of mounting mine like Ron/Kingman has his, but this is a great idea also. Now that you “got your feet wet,” just jump in and and start swimming, er, um, slinging.

Oops, OK, I see now how you clamp it down, with the eye hooks and small thump catch, very clever. It would seem that it’ll also hold your pans in place (sort of) while you are driving.

I have to give credit for the grill to Jon. It was his idea for the swivel on the grill. He also did the electrical work. This project took lots of teamwork.

This is great! How do you supply gas to the grill? I only see one tank? Are you using the small bottles? Is the grill “attached” ? Or do you remove it for travel?
Also, SAMs has a 2 burner grill for $100 it’s the sportsman model… Add the sizzle Q griddle for $50 and you can do anything!

Vary ingenious: If some of you can’t have
a grill on your card the swivel unit can be
used as a serving area or a battery powered cash register could be place their, any number of uses for that swivel unit.

What is the grill?

Jon here answering some questions for Angie this morning. She has been very busy!
Bun n’ the Sun, the grill came from Lowes, but I have seen them at a local store called BiMart as well.
Skip, as you could tell I put an eye bolt with an hook on it, It works ok, but we attach a strap to it to hold it better.
Ron, The cooler came from HomeDepot. It was left over from last summer and marked down 1/2 price. I bought the last two the had for that price. I have seen a similar one at Ace hardware online.

The grill is bolted down to the frame ,We use the small bottles right now, but this weekend, We will get the fittings to run the propane line out to the side. Then we will attach a flexible grill type line to the stove.

Great lookin’ cart…best of luck to you! Be careful with that wooden shaft umbrella…..the 9′ umbrella can really catch the wind. I had one break (wind gust) just above the joint where it screws together and it flew about 40 feet almost hitting some kids. Suggest the aluminum shaft
umbrella available at Sams club for less than 30 bucks….shaft can bend but wont break and cant fly if you tie it down to your cart.
Larry, Thank you for the warning. We have the aluminum shaft umbrella. We tie it down on site. My chip holder is a round garment dryer that I got from campers world. Holds 20 bags.

Great attention getting colors. What material is the whie counter tops? Any problem with the heat from the grill?

The top of the cart is FRP from Home Depot. We wanted something different for the top, so we found this. It is NSF approved, which our HD really liked. However, it is pebble finish. We simply turned it over and used the smooth side. I am sure that both sides are NSF approved! They sell special glue to attach it and molding for around the edges. It makes for a very clean surface.
As far as heat from the grill, we had our concerns as well. It has been working between 5-7 days a week since we started, and it hasnt started to delaminate yet!
